Abstract
This study aimed to determine the educational technology competencies of secondary school students, and to examine whether their competency levels differ significantly in terms of gender, grade level, e-learning experience, overall GPA, having internet access at home, and having a computer at home variables. A total of 417 secondary school students participated in the study, which was designed as survey model. “Educational Technologies Usage Competencies Scale” was used as the data collection tool. Statistics such as arithmetic mean, standard deviation, minimum, maximum, independent sample t-test, and ANOVA test were used in the study. It was found that secondary school students had a high level of competency in using educational technologies. Additionally, it was concluded that the competency levels of female students in using educational technologies were higher than those of male students, the competency levels of students in 7th and 8th grades were higher than those of students in 5th grade, the competency levels of students with e-learning experience were higher than those without e-learning experience. Additionally, the competency levels of students with high GPAs, with internet access at home, and with a computer at home were higher.
